WALLINGFORD - Patricia A. Maclary, 81, of Wallingford, passed away suddenly surrounded by her family on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at MidState Medical Center in Meriden. She was the beloved wife of David B. Maclary.
Patricia was born in New Haven, CT on October 16,1935 to the late Francis and Phyllis (Rice) Flood. After schooling, she spent her life educating young minds for both Branford and Hamden communities, most notably at Dunbar Hill Elementary School, where she was known as Mrs. Beyerle. She was very involved in the First Baptist Church of Wallingford throughout the years. She loved spending quality time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed painting in her spare time.
Besides her loving husband Dave of nearly 26 years, Patricia will be missed by her daughter Jacqueline Beyerle-Kalajainen (her wife Kimberly) of East Lyme; grandchildren: Cooper Kalajainen and Riley Aaliyah Kalajainen; step-daughters: Carole Maclary of Wallingford and Nancy Maclary of Meriden; and step son: Douglas Maclary of Wallingford. She also leaves behind her sister: Carol Gallop of MD; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved daughter: Sally Ann Beyerle; and her brother: Lawrence Flood.
Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM on Friday, September 1, 2017, at the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 South Elm St. in Wallingford. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 2, 2017, at the First Baptist Church, 114 N. Main St. in Wallingford. Interment will take place at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Meriden.
