Maryam P. Fritsch

WALLINGFORD - Maryam P. Fritsch, 88, of Wallingford, beloved mother, sister, grandmother and friend, departed this life on August 2, 2022 at The Regency House Health & Rehabilitation Center of Wallingford where she resided for the past three years.

Maryam was born in New Haven, CT on December 1, 1933 to the late Walter Fritsch Sr. and Pearl (MacNaughton) Fritsch.

Maryam graduated from Branford High School, class of 1951. She later continued her education at Southern CT State University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Art Degree in 1999. Maryam loved art, especially painting with oils. She painted many things over the years that can be found in the homes of those who she loved. She was also an avid gardener of flowers and vegetables and loved spending time outdoors tending to them all. Maryam also loved to play Bingo and could be found playing the game along with all her friends at The Regency House.

Maryam is survived by her daughter, Melanie Bauchmann; son, Scott Mason and his wife Lynda; brother, Walter Fritsch Jr. and his wife Rae; and grandchildren, Joshua Bauchmann and Ashley Romano and her husband Justyn. Maryam also leaves behind her two great grandchildren, Logan and Hunter Romano who she adored so much. Besides her parents, she was pre-deceased in death by her sister, Jean Bodner; her son, Robert Mason and her son-in-law, Mark Bauchmann.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours.
